Since September 2022, Tunç Acarkan has been working as the Director of Technology Management at MEXT Technology Center established by the Turkish Employers' Association of Metal Industrialists (MESS). Tunç Acarkan, who is primarily responsible for artificial intelligence technologies at MEXT, also manages the Artificial Intelligence Platform at the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Turkey (WEF C4IR), affiliated to the World Economic Forum network, established by the Turkish Employers' Association of Metal Industrialists (MESS) in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology. C4IR Turkey creates policy frameworks for IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Mobility technologies enabling a multi-stakeholder approach. Focusing on the manufacturing industry, C4IR Turkey leverages its ability to reach executives and key decision makers to lead the governance of Industry 4.0 technologies to shape the future of manufacturing and industry. Tunç Acarkan, who works in the field of responsible use of artificial intelligence and industrial applications, received his bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabancı University. Prior to his role at MEXT, he worked for international robotics and image processing companies for 15 years as a Business Development and Sales operations leader in the region covering Turkey, Middle East and Africa.
